It's what happens when you put a fish and a pirate in a blender.

Christmas is over, yay? Boo? I don’t know. There’s still food left so I’m all good. I keep sneezing all the time and my mum is looking at me funny cos I spend a lot of time by the computer. Sigh.
But yeah, Christmas was kinda dull and uneventful. We spent the evening at my grandparent’s trying to avoid talking about politics, but they always make those little comments yu know, that makes you want to start a discussion. But I think we did good. Or whatever. They’re really old after all. And everyone got presents. My now rich brother gave a Soda Streamer to my parents. It’s well cool and it’s tasty as well. Well, not the actual machine, but the water it puts out. Yes.
I got a new camera, yay! I haven’t taken that many pictures yet, but I did take a lil picture of the present I bought for myself. I’m so happy about it. Would it be really mean and wrong to say that that present is the one that’ll give me the most joy?
But without further ado:
I’ve only read a few pages so far, but I love it. Love it.
This arrived today though, along with the presents for my brother, which I’d ordered from the same place. I kinda hated that that happened. So yeah, instead of giving him a real present on Christmas eve, I wrote a verse, wrapped it in gift wrapping, put a bow on top and wrote another verse on that. It turned out ok, but obviously it would have been better to give him a real present. But he’ll get that today when he comes back from Norway. He had to go up there and work a bit on boxing day.
Here’s another picture. It’s very silly. Beware. ……BEWARE!
Right, me and mt brother in bathrobes courtesy of grandma. In fact I’m wearing it now. Nicest and coziest material ever! But the picture looks weird and grainy. I think it’s cos I played around with the settings on the camera right before this picture was taken. I’ll just not comment on my face at all.
And with that I’ll leave it. Yes.
BAAAI!

News!
The mailman is not out to get me. I know this for a fact now. Do you know how I know this? I know this because they have moved our mailboxes. The ones right outside our doors are not in use anymore and that’s where I’ve been looking. I should have been looking by the staircase at the fancy new block of mailboxes looking all new and shiny. All my mail was in there. The mailman is not out to get me. I’m just a bit daft.

Right, so I haven’t written anything in a while. Don’t worry, I’m writing now!
So yeah, I was gonna take a bath last night. A long nice bath with bubbles and derally hot water and all that is nice about having a bath. And I did and it was well nice and I felt all relaxed and tired and was ready to go to bed and fall asleep like a log. Unfortunately I’m never that lucky. Yes, filling the bath and sitting in it went just fine and dandy, but emptying it is a whole other story.
So I stand up and pull out the plug in the bathtub and start washing my hair. When I’m done with this I try to step out of the bath only to notice that there’s as much water on the floor as there is in the bathtub, which is a lot. That wouldn’t have been too bad if there was just water on the floor. It wouldbhave gone away eventually, but no. Of course there also had to be a big pile of laundry on the floor, sucking up all the dirty bathwater. Nice! So no sleep for me.
I get in there with a mop, move all the wet clothes away, try to shove all the water towards the drain and slowly slowly it goes down. Good job! Then I went to find sme of that stuff you put in drains to remove stoppages and that, but tbh I don’t know if it worked. We’ll just have to see then hext time I have a bath.
Then I went to bed with my book. (His Dark Materials) And as it turns out ot’s so good I couldn’t stop reading. I finished the whole first book and thought to myself “maybe I should just have a little peek in the second one”, but then I came to my senses and realised it was 5 in the morning and turned the light off.
As for the mailman. I’m convinced he has it in for me. There’s two letters now that I know should hav arrived by now that hasen’t. I’m figuring he’s just not giving them to me. Why eould he do that, you ask. Well, I was really annoying and didn’t empty my mailbox properly for a long time and it was always stuffed with newspapers. I’m thinking that he just got really annoyed with that and is now not giving me my mail anymore. He looks like tha kind of person that would do that. I’m paranoind, but I’m not getting my letters either so it’s gotta be something. Grrrrrrrrr!

Nothing is happening. I’m just waiting for the 21st of December to arrive so I can go home to my parents and be lazy there instead. It’s gonne be nice. Real food, real food…. christmas candy and… real food. Not that my cooking is bad or anything, it’s just so boring to cook for just myself. It’s much more fun when there’s more people, a reason to make an effort. I remember when I lived in a dorm I really loved cooking for the simple reason that there was always someone in the kitchen, always someone to chat to, or something going on. Much nicer.
But yeah, I started writing cos I had something else in mind. Oh yes! Books! I’ve just finished The Road by Cormack McCarthy and it is so good. I guess it didn’t win the Pullizer Prize for nothing. A friend gave it to me and said “Read it”, so I did and I really don’t regret it. It’s such a beautiful scary tale about humanity. And wow! That didn’t sound like a cliché! But I recommend it to everyone anyway. It’s well worth the read.
And then I bought His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, the whole trilogy in one volume and I just started reading that. It’s just one of those books that hooks you right from the start WITH MAGIC! I haven’t gotten very far in it yet, but so far I love it.
Beowulf. I also wanted to write about Beowulf. I watched it yesterday and it was horribly disappointing imo. I don’t think it was the fact that the quality was bad, I just think it wasn’t that good. Meh.
And I’m hungry now. Food.
