New Flat!

// May 26th, 2008 // No Comments » // Life, Travel

I haven’t posted in ages, so here’s a very picture heavy one. It’s me moving, plus a tour round my flat with furniture! Wooo! Finally done setting it all up now. My back aches and I’m so tired it feels like I could sleep for a month. Now all I need is nick-nacks and stuff to put on the walls.

Mum in old kitchen:

A big pile of my stuff:

Dinner out back :D

Driving to the new home:

New place! Whoop!

Moar sofa!

The end!

I’m not showing you my bedroom or bathroom. Bedroom is a mess and bathroom looks like a bathroom. I’m still lacking a bureau or whatever in the hallway, but other than that I’ve got all the important stuff. :D

Fat rat

I have a rat, as you might know. She is however not staying with me at the moment. She’s staying at my rents’ and they’re spoiling her like a little baby. Hence she’s gotten a bit fat. My mum took this picture.

Isn’t she just the cutest?! She looks really stupid sometimes, and yes, sometimes when she’s really excited because there’s food, she tries to get out of the house through the small hole. It never works, but it does look incredibly funny.

Pictospam!

So this morning my mum woke me up by phoning me and telling me “Sofi I’m in your new flat now, it’s so niiiiiice!” So I old her to take some pictures with her mobile and send them to me, since I’ve forgotten to bring my camera every single time I’ve been there. So here’s some pictures!

Here\'s the hallway, nice and spacious.Right, so 2 closets, a shelf and hooks for clothes will go on the right. That’s the bathroom door to the left. And I’d like a nice fluffy carpet on the floor.

I just love that it’s so spacious!

Here’s the bathroom. White tiles and chrome everywhere! And there’s little lights about the mirror and you can’t see it, but on the wall opposite the sink there’s a heated towel rack! Heated! Warm towels! Mmmmm…. And there’s also room for a washing machine.

This niche is what you see if you look straight ahead when you come through the front door. There shall be a sofa in it. A very comfy purple one from IKEA. Yes there will.

The angle of the picture isn’t ideal, but bah. Mum + mobile camera. :P

Facing the niche, turn left, and this is what you see. 4th floor of goodness. I’ll have afternoon/evening sun and a perfect spot for my dinner table by those windows.

Turn left again and there’s the kitchen. It’s all ome massive room, but it’s still very nicely divided into sections. I love the shelf above the bench and everything is brand new! I’m so happy!!!

All grow up!?

I’m moving back to Trollhättan in less than 3 weeks now. It feels well odd. I’ll be having my own place, my first reall appartment that’s not student housing. I will have to get a job to be able to pay for it. I have a summer job, doing some painting and stuff for the Uni in Trollhättan, but that’s only for 6 weeks. Then I’m on my own! :O Scary!

So yeah, I’ve gotten one translation/proofreading job so far, and I’m hoping I’ll have it started by next week and hopefully done by the time I’m moving out. That shouldn’t be impossible anyway. So because of that I’ve been talking to my bank for most of the day, setting up a work-account and figuring out how to use it. Also very scary and it makes me feel like I’m 12 years old, trying on my mum’s shoes that are way too big. But it also makes me feel very grown up and sort of important which is also very scary. I’m one frightened girl at the moment!

But I’m sure it’ll all work out in the end. Altho, I do have to learn accounting. Aaah! No, no panic. Stop it. It will be fine, and I will learn it. People with a lot less brain than me have learnt it, so it shouldn’t be hard. But it’s overwhelming at the start. Gah, I should stop rambling and just take a course. Which I will. I will take a course in accounting. Lol! Unreal to say the least.

I’ve also been looking at Age of Conan and I did actually sign up for the beta. I’m sure I won’t get in, but it would be fun if I did. WoW has been boring lately and some change would be welcome. I doubt I’ll ever leave WoW as long as there’s Bruces around, but if some bruces moved to AoC I would consider building a summer house there. Yes. Cos you can build guild towns and that’s just about the coolest thing ever. :D

AND and! It’s been 10 years since I left 6th grade and our grade school class split up, so a girl from the class back then is arranging a sort of meet up. I feel so old! It’s horrible, but I guess it’ll be fun to see what everyone’s been up to. And a bit scary. Everything’s scary today. I doubt anyone’s gotten rich or famous, but yeah… fun, I guess. And a bit lame. But I’ll definitely go.
