Doing it again!

It seems now like every other post in this blog is about how I should post more. I am obviously lacking skill in this department. The posting more in the blog -department.

However. I still love my new flat, and I’m still struggling to get my company going, although things seem to be happening a bit faster now. It’s all very new still and I’m still very much lost when it comes to things like accounting and sending invoices. I’ve only ever sent 3 and I feel terribly terribly scared that I’m doing something wrong every time I do it. But I guess that’ll pass as I get more used to it and kinda get into my head that I have to do quite a lot of things wrong before the IRS comes and breaks into my appartment and takes all my stuff.

I’ve also started my summer job, and it’s not a job for little girls I tell you! Lots of heavy lifting and other manly things. I was pretty much a pile of blisters and aches when I got home from work in the afternoons last week. I have the week off now, and then I start on monday again. Hopefully it’ll be a little less lifting and more painting that I thought it was gonna be about mostly from the beginning. Myeah, I think painting will be fun, and hopefully less exhausting.

This weekend’s Midsummer! I dread the amount of drunk and obnoxious people that’ll be out and about. It’s just a big massive excuse to go out ad get really drunk and then behave lika an arse. Just like every other major holiday in this country (at least). I was gonna do that as well. It was the plan until yesterday, but I’m kinda glad it changed. I don’t feel like it at all anymore. People just went off in different directions, leaving me, Emma and her boyfriend on our own. So we’ve decided tat we’re gonna go out and grab a bite and then watch a movie or three. Might sound boring, but not to me. To me that’s a very, very fine way to spend an evening.

What else. I’ve been haning pictures and paintings and decorating like mad. It looks really nice here now. There will be pictures I guess, but not tonight because I must have sleeps.

The dark side of summer

Yeah, that’s right, summer has a dark side! It’s called hay fever and overheated appartments! Every year I say “I’ve never had hay fever before, I don’t know why I’m getting it now”. And then the next year I do the same. Well, I think I’ll remeber it this time. With all the summer coming all at once, all the pollen just made one massive army and attacked the eyes and noses of every sunbather in sight. One of them being me. I didn’t like it. Last night I was by the computer and my eyes were so runny and itchy I had trouble seeing what was happening on the monitor. And then “ACHOOOO”. not pleasant at all. The pills I got from the pharmacy seems to dampen it a little but, but they’re hardly a cure.

The sunny, nice, warm weather is also turning my flat into a sauna. I kid you not. 30+ degrees here yesterday. And I don’t have any blinds, so I can’t stop the sun from getting in. I am however gonna try and keep my window closed today. We’ll see how that works.

I’m gonna get something to eat now. Then I’m gonna go to the shop and get some baking powder so I can make a banana cake. Yes. I thought I’d christen the oven with a cake. I can’t believe I haven’t used it yet. But I guess hot food doesn’t really appeal to me when it’s 45920432802 degrees outside.

Heat!

I’ts seriously heating up in Sweden. Yesterday we had 30 degrees and it’s gonna be as hot, if not hotter, today. So yesterday me and my mum drove to the coast and got ourselves some sun. I even had a few (4!) dives into the ocean! The water was really nice. About 19 degrees and perfectly tempered to cool you off after some serious sunbathing. We’d brought a salad, coffee and crossword puzzles. It was summer, wrapped up and with a bow on top. Unfortunately though, I forgot to take any pictures, but that might also be considered a good thing since my Elvis-esque hairstyle did nothing to enhance my appearance.

The past week has, in fact, been a great one. The weather has been awesmome and I’ve been hanging out, watching lots of movies with great friends and lots of snacks. I dare say it’s been perfect.

Only thing that’s been bugging me is that my flat gets damn hot during the day.
