Cosmetic fish surgery?

I suppose it’s inevitable in a scene where the animals are rated based on looks, just like in human-world. Although I suppose animals don’t care about what we look like. And why should they? What does it matter when the human in their life is nice and caring. How come we can’t have that same way of looking at out pets? No? Just like we do with our kids, we enter them into beauty contests and doll them up like they were toys. But really? I don’t agree with it at all, they’re beautiful enough in their own right, just the way they are. Have a look for yourselves in the video below.

Fish should be able to go to the vet as well right? Well, it’s definitely possible if you’ve got the cash. Here’s some footage of fish surgery on a koi carp. Apparently they can get tumors that needs to be operated on, and that can be operated on. The one below though is of a she-fish that’s got something wrong with her eggs. I would advise people that thinks the combination fish+surgery is gross not to play the videos.

Wedding!

Had a long weekend to go to a wedding this weekend. The wedding of a person I’ve only spoken to online, none the less. Some of you might know him, Craig – a.k.a. Yossarian. And it was wonderful! Craig, if you’re reading, thanks so much again for inviting us! We really had a wonderful time. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Celebrity Carps

Freddy Mercury had a collection of koi carps that he cared greatly about. I didn’t know that before today and maybe you didn’t either. Sadly though most of them were accidentally killed  in 2002 when a gardener forgot to turn on the oxygen pump for the temporary tank while he was cleaning out their pond.
