So, an update on my WoW business.

The guild bank: I have one! With the help of good friends and a few random signatures I managed to create a guild and give myself sole rights to the guild bank. Perfect for storing stuff! A++ would use again.

Glyphs: Yeah, like everyone else I decided to try my hand at making money from glyphs. However, I didn’t realise there was an MMO-champion guide for it until way after I started and frankly, I don’t agree with it. I much prefer using Auctioneer and KTQ for crafting and posting and I don’t believe in the 1c undercut method. That just seems really pointless and silly. I’d rather undercut more in order to secure a sale, fend off the competition at the same time and still profit. This method should mean a higher volume of sales and therefore a higher turnover in the long run. You may also piss people off, which can be a bit of fun.

I set a threshold for my glyphs at 3G. If the AH price goes below that I won’t post since it would be cheaper than the price to make the glyph. That applies even if I farmed the herbs for it. If I farm a stack of herbs and I realise that I can sell them for more on the AH than I would get for the glyphs I’d make from them, I’d just post the herbs instead of going through the trouble of crafting. Pretty straight forward. Just because you farmed something doesn’t mean it’s free. You spent time to farm that item that you could have spent on more entertaining things, don’t undervalue that!

Buying and reselling: I’ve not been doing that much of this lately. There haven’t been that many good deals and I’ve been focusing on the glyphs. However, I always do the Auctioneer resale search as well as my snatch search once every evening, just to see if there’s anything I can pick up for a profit. If there’s cheap herbs I always buyout/bid on them, seeing as I’m very low on ink at the moment.

Auctions: When I logged off last night I had 400 auctions running.
