Stay a While and Listen

We all knew there was going to be a post about this. The D3 closed beta has just commenced and the beta live streams are abundant. Sadly though, I’m confined to the long aisles of YouTube to get my beta fix as I’ve not (yet) received an invitation. And to be honest, chances are slim any of us will get one, but a girl can hope.

I’m so excited though, mailbox is being checked every 10 minutes and forums are thoroughly read every day. I was bouncing in my chair while watching some of the beta footage, exclaiming “You HAVE to come look at this!” to my quite disinterested boyfriend every time something particularly cool happened – which was pretty much all the time.

Darkspore Beta

When I opened my inbox on Saturday morning I was in for a nice surprise. I’d been sent a beta key to Darkspore by the nice people at NVIDIA. Sometimes singing up to product newsletters really does prove useful.

And thus I went about downloading and installing the game. It didn’t take long at all, but then of course there were patches to download and apply as well. So I went to the hairdresser while it worked away and came home to a fully installed and updated game, ready to play. I sat down and clicked start. Not only was I excited, but my hair looked great too!

Playstation Access in Glasgow

The contents of our goodie bags!

Kev hustled us some invitations to the Playstation Access event in Glasgow this Friday, so we went and hung out with fellow nerds, and of course, Sackboy! We even got goodie bags when we left, which was very exciting since neither of us had gotten goodie bags before. All in all it was a very good Friday night. I much prefer fun stuff like that to going out and getting so drunk I can’t remember what’s what. And we got to try out loads of new games, got pizza and drinks and I mean, who doesn’t want to play tennis with the Playstation Move in 3D?!
